This place is awesome, especially the upstairs bathroom. The game room was definitely a bonus. Very spacious and the owners respond very quickly. I highly recommend this as a very nice getaway for the entire family.

Me and my newly wife had a good time at this cabin. Here are some pros and cons. Pros: The hot tub was really nice, the pool table room was good, beds felt decent, no crazy noises during the night (which we loved), and the location to downtown is very convenient. Cons: Hot tub location can be easily seen by neighbors across the street with no privacy, we experienced the neighbors parking their truck 15 feet away from the hot tub which was not ideal. But it was fine at night. There are no curtains on the windows or blinds. Both up stairs and down stairs, so people can see right through the house. The grill was so gummed up it couldnt properly hold heat. We had issues with the microwave buttons not working sometimes. Our last night, had to kill 10+ stink bugs in our room. Lastly the wifi wasn't really working for us but we had good cell reception so I just used my phones hot spot. Overall: We still had a good time and had fun here. Just needs a little work here and there to be great

We had very nice comfortable stay. Thank you so much Positive: Cozy cabin with incredible view Negative: Side outdoor door was unlocked when we arrived, 1st day our jacuzzi was only 87 degrees and doors in a loft and upstairs doors you couldn’t close down so needed to put something to keep it shut, especially if you using wc. A lot of light switches around the cabin and would be nice maybe to mark them down what is for.

It was absolutely beautiful there is a bear or smthn on the outside at night but other than that it was perfect, the WiFi is not the one in the manual but it’s the on box upstairs.

With some TLC, the place would be great. When I arrived, the side door of the house was wide open. We did a quick inspection of the house to make sure we didn’t see anything out of place, but that still left us a little unnerved. We also noticed several lights out around the house and water level in the hot tub below some of the jets. Finally, when we went to use the washer/dryer it would not turn on. That may not seem like a major problem, but we did end up having to then pay to do laundry at our next stop. While none of these are major problems alone, when added together it left us with a sense that the house was not really cared for. Finally, the checkout instructions are different on the app vs. what is posted in the fridge.

Positive: It was the perfect place to relax. Negative: My body had to get used to the memory foam mattress with having back problems but after that it was fine.

Loved our stay at the cabin. The pool table, fire pit, and hot tub made our stay wonderful. Very peaceful and just what we needed. Will be booking again for our next trip!

The cabin was beautiful and nestled in the woods. If the game room had a little heater that would have been perfect! It rained quite a bit so the screened in and covered porch was a dream. Sad we didn’t get to use the hot tub due to the rain but it looked sooooo inviting!

We had a great stay at this cozy cabin. The setting was very peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings. The firepit area was perfect for roasting marshmallows and star gazing. Inside the cabin was rustic but had all the modern amentities we needed. We did a bunch of hikes while here but our highlights were catawba falls and linville falls!

The cabin was wonderful and Philip was a great host! Would definitely recommend for a mountain getaway! My only note to future guests is the hill to get up to the cabin is steep, it is paved but if you have an older car just be aware of that.

Loved spending time here! It was a great way to relax and detach for a bit and spend some much needed time with family.

First time having a cabin for my little family an it was so beautiful an relaxing enjoyed it Positive: Really liked the location the peacefulness. The hot tub was relaxing... the layout of the cabin was beautiful. Definitely would be going back enjoyed it greatly Negative: The downstairs bedroom bed wasn't very comfortable like I expected but it did fine. The bushes was grown up over the front porch couldn't use the front porch rocking chairs to see the pretty view of the mountains...not enough kitchen accessories I would of thought been there ..and the downstairs bathroom shower wall needed some maintenance.

Cabin needs deep cleaning, outside needs landscaping work, A/C needs to be fixed. Location is good. Positive: Location of the cabin and the shed/game room Negative: A/C didn't work, made stay uncomfortable. Cabin needs a good cleaning. Mouse droppings in over drawer were not very pleasant, upstairs bathroom not very clean. Overall cleanliness of cabin not very satisfactory. Cabin definitely needs upgrading and cleaning, inside & out. Beds are very low as they set on the floor.

We would definitely stay again. Positive: The cabin was nice and roomy and it had all the amenities we needed and a good location. The game room with pool table was super neat! Hot tub was relaxing and worked well. Negative: We had one issue with housekeeping but I notified the host and they were super nice. Offered to do whatever to help with the issue. Very responsive.

The property was exactly as advertised and the owners were very helpful and proactively provided everything we needed. Everything was smooth and we’d absolutely stay again.

Great place for dogs, the large porch with gates was a plus! The yard is large and the roads have little traffic so it’s a nice walk. The hot tub was in a great location and operated perfectly! Large eating area inside and out! Kitchen was well stocked! Everything you needed to cook a large meal and plenty of plates and silverware. Couches were comfortable and the throw blankets were a nice touch! I loved the windows with shutters on the inside that provided privacy. The jet tub upstairs was huge and very nice! We enjoyed our stay and the location is close to a lot of things to do in the beautiful NC mountains! The only reason I can’t give a 5 star review is because it does need a little TLC.

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this unit. Rustic in decor on the inside without much to be recommended exterior wise. Peaceful get away and we were excited that it had a pool table and an exterior ping pin table. Our only disappointment was that we didn't get to use the hot tub as we should have stayed 4 nights as opposed to 3. Although it wasn't as inviting as it could have been as the top was significantly damaged. We stayed at 7 vacation units over this trip and this was either close to the top or the top one depending on which family member.

This cabin is absolutely worth booking. On a mountain with breathtaking views. Yard was spacious for our 4 dogs. Hot-tub was on the deck so you could enjoy the sunset. The bed was comfortable it was like being home. It is close to Black mountain, Marion and Lake Lure. I will definitely book again when in the area.

When we got to the property it was beautiful but the outdoor was a little clean the girls were a little dirty we had to clean them the porch was dust with pollen and the kitchen dish were were also a little dirty the upstairs bathroom shower was really dirty everything eles was awesome I would stay again here

It was nice to have a space to relax and cook. Positive: The property was beautiful! We enjoyed outdoor space. Negative: The down stairs split king bed was not very comfortable. No light over the stove.

The scenery at the Airbnb was absolutely stunning. Surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking views, it felt like a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As for the comfort of the home, it was incredibly cozy. The interior had an inviting atmosphere. The beds were comfortable making it easy to relax after a day of exploring, and the amenities provided everything needed for a stay.

Loved our stay! Hosts were very responsive and had great recommendations for stuff to do in the area. Not as secluded from other houses as we had hoped, but we had no other problems. Great views!

We LOVED our stay at Philip's place!!! The cabin was just amazing & exactly what we were looking for. It was spacious & homey & had comfy beds. The only issue was that the hot tub took a LONG time to heat up. It wasn't actually hot until the morning we left. We arrived on a Friday but couldn't use it until Saturday afternoon & at that point it was still only "warm". Hosts were very responsive as we were trying to figure out how to get it to heat up though. We would DEFINITELY love to come back here again!!!

Overall we really enjoyed our visit. We planned a spontaneous getaway from Raleigh and chose this place based on the photos, amenities, and central location. We traveled with our two kids, 7 and 9, and our dogs. We didn't realize upon booking that there was a house very close by, and the streets surrounded the house. While the home is secluded and there is not a lot of traffic with pets and young kids, it is something to be aware of. This house is perfect for adults or families with slightly older kids. The game house and fire pit were lovely. The jacuzzi tub and hot tub added to the relaxing vibes. The hosts were very communicative and accommodating. I highly recommend this for a foothills getaway!

Philip’s place was such a relaxing stay. Me and my family wanted a getaway that was quiet, and this matched our needs perfectly. The cabin has so many amenities like the master bedroom jacuzzi and the hot tub which we really enjoyed. It was close to some local towns for food as well. Overall we had a really good stay and enjoyed the cabin.

This spot is so quiet and peaceful. It was so nice to wake up in such a quiet area. We were visiting friends nearby so the location was perfect.

Amazing view, wonderful mountain getaway

The cabin was very nice and clean, we ended up being there for the hurricane and he made sure we got home okay after we had to stay an extra night due to the storm. It was very kind of him to check in.

Parking was easy, the hot tub was awesome, and the jetted tub was AMAZING! The fridge had plenty of space, and everything was easy to use. The beds were better than a hotel. The roads to get there were super steep! One of the bathtubs had a crack in the bottom that sunk in a bit. The cabin was cozy and the hosts were hands-off (we had all the info we needed), which we appreciated. The neighborhood was quiet and relaxing. The pool table was a huge hit with our kids!

The hosts were wonderful and the place was amazing and so peaceful for my birthday. I enjoy the views and the area was nice and quiet. Thank you again, I would for sure recommend this cabin!!

i would rather it not,because its probably not the home owners doing, that the house was in the shape it was in, but more the property management company, or both i dont know, but its like others ive been to, pictures were when place was new, and you get there and you can tell just that, that they were taken long ago, big tv in living room , 4 remotes on the table , none of them were for the tv, tv was nasty!

I am very pleased with this little house, from the inside to the outside everything is very nice. It has all the essentials one could need from utensils to bath towels. When I go back to the mountains, I will definitely go again!!

My wife and I needed a quick getaway, just a couple of nights in the mountains with a relaxing hot tub to unwind and rejuvenate. This was just the prescription! Easy to access yet with a remote atmosphere, our 2 night visit felt like a complete detachment from all our stressors. And our hosts were magnificently responsive without being intrusive. We felt fortunate to be there!

My stay was amazing! The layout and amenities within this cabin definitely provided the mountain cabin experience I was seeking. I traveled with a small group and we all had a blast. The curvy and steep road leading up to the cabin can be a little unsettling driving at night time. So be mindful of when you’re coming and going. Nonetheless, I would definitely stay again.

The house was as beautiful as the pictures. If you read the instructions clearly it wasn't hard to get In to. It is a very peaceful place to stay. Even though you were up on the mountian, stores were only 15 to 20 mins away. All in all we enjoyed our stay and there 7 of us.

We had a lovely stay. The kids especially loved the game shed and fire pit for s’mores, and the adults loved the rocking chairs and peaceful setting. We explored Boone, Grandfather Mountain and Linville Falls, and Asheville. Very accessible to mountain towns but also a lovely retreat if you want to stay out. Wonderful place, thank you!

We only stayed briefly, but the cabin and the surrounding forest was beautiful. Everything was as advertised. Next time I would bring some food to cook there. Closest restaurants are down the hill, but its a beautiful drive. This was a last minute trip for us coming from the coast. We will definitely come back.

This Airbnb is definitely a favorite! There is lots to do on the property itself, all other activities are about a 30 min car ride away but the views are worth the drive. The cabin is towards the top of a mountain so I would definitely make sure your car is in good working condition when considering this place. The hosts were very helpful and quick to respond.

I would stay again had a wonderful time

The cabin was nice. Unfortunately there was nothing to do around the area. Hot tub was nice though. We had a difficult time with the lock on the door also. You have to try a few times to get it to lock or unlock. I also ended up spraining my ankle tripping over a random little lip in the living unfortunately, so watch your step.

We had a great family vacation. The location was peaceful with a great view. We enjoyed spending time in the hot tub and playing pool and darts in the game shed. Exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely stay there again.

Secluded and serene. The road up to the house is quite steep; our GPS actually took us past it before realizing we needed to turn off. There were a few minor cosmetic updates needed (e.g. missing kitchen cabinet pulls), but, overall, would stay again.

We had a great time at this lovely Airbnb. The cabin is spacious with ample indoor/outdoor seating. Kitchen was well stocked (just missing a cutting board). (They even left a smores kit!) We loved the hot tub and wrap-around porch. Other visitors mentioned a lack of privacy due to the cabin located just across the road, but it's really a non-issue. The house is situated at the top of a densely wooded and steep hill with very few homes nearby. It was very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. No cell reception but Wi-Fi at the cabin works fairly well for its remote location. Just a 20ish minute drive to food, breweries, etc. in Marion. Short drives to all the hikes/outdoor experiences in Pisgah National Forest and beyond. If we could have stayed longer, we would have!

Me and my husband stayed here for our anniversary and it was everything we were looking for and more. It’s very spacious and clean, we loved how private it was too. We especially loved the game room and hot tub! We would definitely stay here again !

We visited for Spring Break with my 8-year-old daughter and parents. It was a great getaway location with many local activities nearby, but we didn't have to go out to enjoy the house and its location. The cozy interior had comfortable furniture and large windows framing breathtaking views of the mountains. Overall, our stay at the Marion, NC, cabin exceeded all expectations. It provided the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation, allowing us to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.

We go somewhere every February for our mother daughter girls trip. We found this place and wanted to try it out. It was a very beautiful place to stay. We didn’t leave the house at all. Hot tub was very nice, game room with pool table kept us busy, we will definitely be booking this place again. Only thing is make sure you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. The hill to get there is very steep. My little crossover almost didn’t make it! But the house and hosts were very lovely.

I definitely recommend this place. The cabin itself is beautiful with amazing amenities, and is even more beautiful in person. We spent a night here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and had actually gotten into a car accident on the way to the cabin and the host was so kind in accommodating a late check out for us. From the cabin itself to the kindness of the host, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others. We will definitely be returning!

Great space! Very welcoming and warm. The layout is great for conversation. Phillip communicated very clearly and check in was seamless. The hot tub was just what my friends and I needed after a long hike! I would highly recommend this place to others.

We enjoyed our stay, especially m the huge south facing windows, vaulted main living room, and wood burning stove. The cabin is spacious, and we enjoyed having different seating and hang out areas. A puzzle occupied the dining table most of the week :). The loft was cozy, and the soaking tub a treat. Location is well situated, just 20-25 minutes from Ingles, and centrally situated in the mountain area east of Asheville. Would definitely recommend!

This cabin in Marion is very beautiful. The neighbors are a good distance away, the cabin feels very peaceful and secluded. The living room is very clean and spacious. The downstairs bedroom was very private and comfortable with a good tv. The upstairs had the option to be private or combined by glass doors and curtains. The hot tub and porch were definitely our favorite part as it was relaxing and easy to get into. Overall favorite features: Hot tub, porch, family style warm house Only negative part we found: I feel the cleaning fee is very hefty considering you have to be out at 10am and are expected to strip the beds, start laundry yourself take out the trash and wash all your towels….on vacation you try to get away from these things not rush to wake up and clean the house/ do laundry. The only other thing that should be noted is it is a steep drive up if you aren’t used to being in the mountains. House was beautiful and we loved it! I would consider coming back!
