Elk Ridge Retreat -Hot Tub-Firepit-Fireplace

We bought K cups and no coffee grounds. Mike got a brand new Kuerig coffee maker so we could enjoy morning coffee. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the location is close to skiing and the casino.

Had an AMAZING time!!! The house was beautiful and nicely secluded. We ran into a slight hiccup and the host was very responsive and came to the rescue! I would highly recommend staying in this adorable cabin! I definitely plan on staying again. I’ve stayed in several homes and this is the first one I felt definitely deserved a review.

I spent a few amazing days at this cabin. The place is spectacular, very cozy, and perfect for relaxing. Each bedroom had its own heater, which was excellent and very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we had everything we needed during our stay. Despite that, I 100% recommend this place. I would definitely stay here again.

We had company from South Dakota and decided to take a road trip to see the mountains, get away & relax. The area was great & so was the hot tub. Would stay again!

We had a lovely time and especially enjoyed the relaxing gas fireplace as our stay was the end of December and beginning of January. Everything was clean, tidy, and inviting. The house is off a somewhat steep and very winding gravel road, so driving with extra care is recommended. The host (Mike) was very responsive when we had any questions.

10/10 SPOT! Nestled in the woods and everything was peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the cabin and felt right at home. Definitely will be booking again!

Beautiful cabin. Had a great time. If you are going to visit in the colder months made sure you have 4 wheel drive. If not it's hard to get off the mountain.

This BnB was great! Super close to the mountains for skiing and easy to get to from the main road. Mike was an awesome host and insanely responsive and accommodating. This will be my go to spot when I’m popping up for a weekend at Cataloochee !

Cool place right by ski resort really secluded, great fun a quick trip.

We had a great stay! Very peaceful, beautiful area, be ready though.. It’s literally up a mountain dirt road, try to get there before dark! Once you find it though, you’ll never lose it. Lots to do in the local areas, Maggie Valley, Cherokee, Blue Ridge Parkway. Home looks exactly like the pics! Very private in a mountain community. Loved it! Would definitely stay again.

This is a wonderful spot, serene area, beautiful home, great view, and excellent location. Fireplace and hot tub were lovely in winter. Would recommend.

We loved our anniversary stay here! The cabin was peaceful, surrounded by nature yet close enough to town and had an amazing Mountain View. Very close to soco trail. Dirt road was a little rough but everything else was great

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Mike's place during our stay in North Carolina. It's in a quiet, serene area nestled among the trees yet it's a close drive to Cherokee and Waynesville as well as to many hiking/mountain biking trails. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to prepare meals. We appreciated having a refrigerator with a filtered water and ice dispenser. We enjoyed hanging out in the living room relaxing on comfortable sofas in front of a cozy gas fireplace with a nice view of the mountains at sunrise and sunset. The bedrooms are upstairs and had plenty of room to spread out. The bed was comfortable. The hot tub was a delight after long hikes. We did have an issue with initially getting into the place with our code and with our Internet connection on one day of our stay but Mike was always so quick to respond and assist in resolving any issue that arose and answer any questions we had. Great host and place! We would love to return here in the future.

Cool cabin in the mountains. Clean place and the hot tub was nice after a long day of motorcycle riding. Lots of wildlife around. Saw a family of bears and the owls were cool to listen to at night. The road in to the llace is fine for a car, but not a great one for motorcycles or trailers. Luckily, the store on the highway lets you park in those lot for $5 a day. Lifesaver! Otherwise, the place was great and I got exactly what I paid for. Maggie Valley area is great with lots of food options and Waynesville is good too. Thanks for a great place to stay.

This was a wonderful place to stay! Very private little getaway, and the home was absolutely spotless. I was impressed with how clean EVERYTHING was; hot tub included! I was here for a friend’s weekend getaway, and will be aiming to stay here every time we want to travel to the area.

Positive: Very peaceful, cozy, and very inviting. Negative: Fire pit needed to be clean.

We stayed Six nights and we loved this place. plenty of wildlife to watch. The house has windows everywhere to look out and see the view from inside. There is a Large Deck that we loved just sitting and enjoying the outdoors, and gorgeous sunsets. Town of Maggie Valley is near, and we loved going out to eat breakfast at Country Vittles and Joeys pancakes also. Legends was very good for lunch too.Maggie Valley Restaurant will not disappoint for dinner! We also saw Black Bears, and plenty of Elk! Such a Wonderful Trip! You will not be disappointed to stay here!

A nice home in a beautiful setting.

This was an amazing place to stay at, the location was convenient to offer traveling and exploring surrounding areas. It was a quite peaceful place and we quite enjoyed it!

My family loved this place so much, that we actually stayed an extra night! This place has a very homey feel to it… Everything was as pictured/listed or better! Our first night there, we got to see a momma bear and her two cubs in the front yard, so that was exciting! The hot tub was AMAZING! The screened in deck was perfect place to have morning coffee! We also enjoyed a few card games out there! I’m already planning/thinking about when we can come back! The host was very responsive too, so that just made for the perfect trip!

We had a wonderful stay at Mike’s Airbnb near the Smoky Mountains! The home is beautiful, private, and surrounded by peaceful mountain views in the Plott Balsam range. It’s about a 50–60 minute drive to the Smokies, which was perfect for day trips. The place had everything we needed to relax and enjoy quality time with friends and family. Highly recommended!

Had a great visit. Located in between the activities that we had planed. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice place to stay. All the bedrooms are upstairs and there is no A/C but with the ceiling fans it was very comfortable.

Beautiful home and view!! Lots of local attractions nearby.. My fiancé proposed on the front porch over looking the mountains.. absolutely stunning view

It was a very nice place to stay. It was pretty quite and very secluded which we like. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. We did have a little trouble checking in (door code didn’t work), but I was able to message the host and he fixed the door code for us. It was kind of late when we got there and he was still available to help us. All in all it was a really nice stay and I wouldn’t mind staying again.
