Gated neighborhood Log Cabin- Hot Tub & Fire Pit

This cabin was extremely nice.

Booked with Phillip for a little getaway to relax and enjoy with a group of girls for our “Galentines day”. The cabin was beautiful, quiet, and to top it off, nestled in a gated community so all us girls felt safe! Phillip was very quick to respond and even offered a later check out, which of course we took advantage on so we all could sleep in. I speak for us all, by saying our First experience in Nebo and this home was definitely something I would recommend! Thank you Phillip!

I really liked this airbnb. the hostess was super nice and very attentive to any questions i had. i planned this trip about two months in advance, but unfortunately there was a snowstorm during our stay and we had to leave earlier than expected. i was driving a sedan, and since this is a private gated condo, the roads were icy and a bit slippery. we barely made it to the airbnb, so i’d recommend being prepared for the weather and ideally having a 4x4 vehicle. other than that, it was a really great stay.

The place was beautiful! Perfectly placed far enough to feel like you’re getting away but still a close enough drive to a few cities with plenty of shopping, food and activities! The kitchen was well stocked so it made it easy for us to cook meals there! The hosts were very quick to respond and to make sure we had everything needed for the best stay!

The cabin itself is beautiful and very private. We appreciated the comfortable beds and reliable wifi. The drive up is also stunning, lots of mountain views. Philip responded quickly and answered all of our questions.

Really nice cabin in a great location .

It was exactly what our small family was looking for. We needed to unplug and spend sometime together in nature. It was a little cold but we came prepared. I appreciate the fact the house wasnt hanging off a clif. Although I'm sure those houses have amazing views. Having a dog and toddler that wouldnt be ideal for us. It was easy to feel right at home. I would suggest packing/grocery shopping for all you need in advance. No grocery stores is closer then 25-30 minutes. Other than that it was a great recharge. Thank you for sharing your space!!!

The Cabin is a cozy house, despite its small size, and features well-designed spaces. We really enjoyed the outdoor area, the fire pit, and the awesome jacuzzi. We love having our pet with us! We had a wonderful weekend at the Cabin in Nebo, creating special memories.

It was such a relaxing stay. It’s private and very spacious. If you’re looking to have a relaxing getaway this is the right place. The jacuzzi was a hit especially after going for a long hike and coming back to that was amazing. I appreciated the cleanliness of it too. Everything was clean and had everything we needed. The host is very quick on responding too. If I’m ever in the area again I would book this place :)

Beautiful property! The hosts are incredibly responsive and helpful. It is a bit of a drive into the neighborhood but we loved the scenery and privacy. The views from the drive itself is incredible. Perfect amount of space for flexible sleeping arrangements. Hot tub was so nice on a chilly night. Loved that we could bring our dogs. Only complaint is that we couldn’t extend our trip!

My stay in Nebo was absolutely wonderful! The cabin was cozy, peaceful, and surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve ever seen. Waking up to the mountain views each morning was breathtaking, and the overall atmosphere was perfect for relaxation. The host was kind and responsive, and I truly enjoyed every minute of my stay. I’d love to come back again!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin! The cabin is beautifully surrounded by pine trees, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was amazing after a day of exploring, and the fire pit was perfect for evenings under the stars. We also discovered a beautiful lake in the community. We’d love to come back in the summer to enjoy it even more. Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for peace and nature.

The place was beautiful! Wish I had more time to spend there but it was a short trip for my nieces wedding. Philip was very helpful with very clear check in and check out instructions and communication from beginning to end! Would recommend a stay here to anyone!

Peaceful cabin nestled in woods that is close to amenities, yet still secluded and surrounded by nature. The scenery was beautiful throughout the area, and everyone within the community was friendly. Great location to get away from it all for a spell.

A nice quiet cabin in the mountains!

My husband and I came for our anniversary weekend. The cabin had everything we needed and we really enjoyed the hot tub. The cleanliness was not quite up to our expectation, but overall, we had a wonderful stay.

We enjoyed our visit to Phillip’s home. It was wonderfully peaceful and quiet. The house was very clean and well equipped. We also really enjoyed the hot tub. Phillip was very responsive to any questions. Would recommend this home.

Nice place, having wood for the fire was also really nice. It was peaceful with being at the end of the road allowed us to be alone. Internet was speedy.

This place was perfect and secluded although in a neighborhood I only saw one person on the day we left, it was quiet and relaxing. My kids were both sad to leave and the dogs had a blast chasing each other around the yard. Hot tub was relaxing and very hot. Starlink WiFi was a great benefit since we didn’t have great cell service. I would recommend taking a screenshot of the check in directions ahead of time so you’re not struggling to get it to load like I was. Phillip and Kelly were responsive and kind.

If you want to enjoy a mountain air, cabin in the woods- come here! This cabin is amazing. Plenty of room, and beautifully decorated. Has a great fire pit and the hot tub is clean and kept nice! We were in the hottub in the rain. Simply amazing.

We had initially checked into a different Airbnb but there were issues with the home that made us unable to stay, I reached out to Philip and we were checked into his Airbnb within 30 minutes, truly saved our weekend! The house is absolutely beautiful along with the neighborhood, it’s very peaceful and quiet. We felt right at home, thank you again!

Nice place, it’s more “homey” than it appears in photos. It’s about 10 minutes up and around a mountain but kind of a fun drive. It’s a good spot for a staycation.

At the list minute, decided to take my family up to the mountains. Philip and Kelly were extremely accommodating and were able to get us in that same day. Because of the bad weather, they even took an extra tip to the house to ensure it was safe to get to. They were very responsive and went above and beyond. The house sits on top of a mountain with breathtaking views. The house was very clean and cozy and my family felt right at home. I highly recommend this property!

The cabin was a great retreat and good time to disconnect from the big city, it's located in a private neighborhood and is very peaceful and private. The cabin itself was very neat and cozy and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay, including high-speed Wi-Fi. The surrounding area is very beautiful and you will feel right in the middle of nature, however, if you need to do groceries or a supply run you'll have to drive for a half an hour or more, I recommend you take everything you need as you arrive. The hosts were very responsive and helpful and were flexible with our requests.

This place is very private and peaceful. They had tons of hiking and food recommendations and left a booklet with any info you might need about the space. We had a great time!

The cabin was very peaceful, clean and quiet but would have preferred to be closer to restaurants and a grocery store. Everything was fine with exception of very poor water pressure, burnt out light bulbs and bad batteries in remote control. The home felt very dark due to poor lighting. Did not use the hot tub as there was no easy way for seniors to access it.

Beautiful place and area, very peaceful, clean and very welcoming. Only gripe was that we had a broom but no dustpan! :P We are kinda clean freaks though so that's not anything serious. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway from the busy city life.

The place is fantastic. Nights are star lit, the hot tub is relaxing along side the fire pit with a cozy fire to enjoy the entire evening. The drive in is as scenic and beautiful as you could possibly want. Don't forget to get your groceries before arriving, so you don't have to leave. Owners take about a minute or two it seems to respond to any questions we had. They are extremely responsive and helpful to question about the property and amenities. Some may have an issue with the water pressure, it didn't bother us. We had a great stay and enjoyed the property.

We went to stay for a long weekend. Though our weekend did not go as planned due to inclimate weather. The homeowner and property manager stayed in touch. The community we stayed in was friendly and the people we met will stay friends. We plan to come back and would stay here again.

Very poor water pressure. If taking a shower and someone flushes a toilet the shower pressure stops for a few minutes, loose toilet seat downstairs, I should have read all the fine print so I accept responsibility on this one but a keurig would have been nice or one or two tea bags available. Few amenities, no tissues, adequate flashlights. The downstairs closet had no space for clothes, upstairs no tv. Little soap in the house. No thoughtful welcoming note or anything. No personal touches welcoming us. We have been spoiled by very thoughtful Airbnb’s and this was not one of them.

Overall - the stay was good. I felt as if the cleanliness could have been a bit better (there was hair in the downstairs bathroom, almost all windows had cobwebs and such which made opening windows undesirable despite good temps). Amenities were bare bones, which is listed in description but having stayed in other airbnbs with small touches to make it feel like home was a bit disappointing. The leather couch had a cloth cover on it that did not fit well, so it had to be adjusted literally every time it was used. The cabin is very remote with nothing around unless driving 30+ mins. It served its purpose!

We had a great stay here! Clean and great outdoor space to relax and play with the kids. No complaints whatsoever about the property or location. It is about 30 min from Lake James and from Morganton. There is a little brewery called Fonta Flora: Whippoorwill Farms that is worth the drive. I was a little disappointed that the kids’ swing pictured in the listing was not there when we arrived, as I had already mentioned it to my daughter and she was really looking forward to it. I also messaged with an inquiry on Friday morning, which was viewed but never answered by the time we left on Monday. It was not urgent, but some form of response would have been appreciated. However, overall, the stay was great and our family enjoyed it very much. The cabin and the shady lot are perfect if you just want to go somewhere to relax, and the price for us was unbeatable.

Had A Great Time, It Was A Beautiful House!! The Surrounding View’s Were Absolutely Stunning!! Just Make Sure You Grab Groceries and Whatever Else You Need Before Your Stay Because Everything Is 30min Away. But Soooo Worth It!!

Beautiful, peaceful spot to get away. We had great family time relaxing at the cabin, soaking in the hot tub and making s'mores. Kelly was very responsive and helpful to all my questions.

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay. Our kids are 7,5, and 3. We had plenty of space in the cabin, the boys LOVED the upstairs beds along with the air hockey table. They played all night. We also enjoy hiking around the cabin(there was plenty of woods to play in). We spent both nights in hot tub, and built a campfire to roast s’mores. The cabin was clean and provided all we needed. The community was amazing, the kids played in the lake/beach. The pavilion had shuffleboard, horse shoe, and corn hole. The cabin is only about 25 minutes from Yogi Bear’s Jellystone, so we spent an entire day there with kids. We will definitely stay again.

We had an absolutely incredible Fourth of July stay at Philip’s place. The house was located in a stunning private neighborhood with private hiking trails, a lake, and community picnic area. The cabin was secluded and private but encountered friendly neighbors who gave suggestions for nearby activities. We will certainly be returning and want to make this a yearly trip! Could not recommend more for a weekend away.

Beautiful, gated community. The cabin was spacious and perfect for our family. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook our fresh trout we caught nearby. The hot tub was HOT but a nice amenity.

The location was really strange. In the middle of nowhere; new development / gated community. No trails or anything to do once inside the community. Walking on paved roads. Nothing around. Not near Lake James (40 mins). I searched for the place based on "near Lake James," and wish I'd paid attention to its actual proximity on the map. Very basic amenities - not worth the price paid. Almost immediately after booking I learned that my daughter had covid. They really price-gouged me after I canceled and asked to reinstate (an additional $250). Mind you, there were hardly any other people staying in the neighborhood - we felt taken advantage of. And after all of that, the place was mediocre at best. Wouldn't recommend for kids - there's really nothing for kids to do around there except to walk the roads. The surrounding property seemed privately owned / separate from this place.

Had a wonderful stay! The cabin was cozy and just right for us. Clean, comfy beds and beautiful surroundings. The ride to the cabin was breathtaking! The cabin had a wilderness feel and my girls experienced fireflys for the 1st time. We watched them from the deck the 1st night as we ate dinner. Pretty magical! The hot tub & fire pit was a treat every night after coming in from outings. We explored everyday. We took the 40 min ride to Lake James Beach and it was fun and beautiful. The next day we drove the 50 minutes into Chimney Rock, which made for a great day of shopping and sightseeing and another Mountain Beach Day at Lake Lure. We also went 30 min into Marion and had a wonderful meal at Hook & Anchor. The ride to all these places didn't feel long at all because of the beautiful scenic drive. We would definitely recommend and return!

We had a great Memorial Day weekend at the lil cabin! The cabin is well equipped, clean and in a very peaceful and safe environment. We fell right at home. We were out and about during the day and would come back for a relaxing time at the cabin for a nice hot tub and some grilling. Would definitely pick that place again if we have to opportunity to go back in or around Nebo!

A clean cabin - hosts were very communicative! It should be noted this is a 30min drive south of Nebo's downtown area, so plan your travels accordingly.

Wow!!! This is by far one of our favorite Airbnbs we have stayed at. You’re in a gated community about 3 miles past the gate. Super private with only a few neighbors by. Right in the middle of the woods with great outdoor amenities! The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans - bring your own foil and bags if you wanna take leftovers home though! Comfy beds! Couch was nap worthy! And the bathrooms were perfectly sized! Every window had a new beautiful view to check out! As it says in the listing there is zero service which was absolutely perfect! We will definitely be back! 🤍

Gorgeous huge cabin on big lot in a beautiful gated community. Thoughtful touches throughout. Go to the grocery store before you get there- you won’t want to leave again once you arrive. Home is located appx 10 min from the gate. Quiet, peaceful, a Luna moth sighting and 2 early morning bears strolled through the property. The hot tub was easy to use and feels very private. Also the dvd collection is impressive: Twilight AND MST 3000?!?!? We want to be friends with y’all! 20 stars! ⭐️

The cabin was great, we really enjoyed our time. The hot tub was perfect and the fire pit was so nice. The place was spotless and the bed was so comfy. We felt right and home and had a wonderful time. I wish there was bug spray because a lot of mosquitoes were around since it’s in the woods; and check out was at 11 instead of 10 (especially since check in was after 4). Other than that, we loved everything about our stay. Will definitely return.

Perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature, the cabin was spacious, clean, and well stocked. The neighborhood is quiet and secluded with lots of surrounding woods and mountains and the hot tub was a perfect place to relax in the evening. I will say that cell service is basically nonexistent, which can be either or a pro or a con depending on your point of view; texts usually went through with Wi-Fi though, but just don’t expect to be able to have phone conversations. But if you’re looking for privacy and relaxation, this is the place for you.
